Thanksgiving Brown Bag Donations - Due October 28th!
Thanksgiving will be here before we know it and your contributions to the Deacons Brown Bags are necessary for this wonderful outreach ministry. Each fall the Deacons ask the congregation for donations to provide Thanksgiving dinners for approximately 120 families in Fort Dodge. We receive our family names from Head Start and Upper Des Moines Opportunity. Please consider donating to this special cause.
This is a list of the items we hope you can donate:
- $15 (for a meal certificate)
- 1 pkg. stuffing mix
- 1 box instant potatoes
- 1 can green beans
- 1 packet gravy
- 1 pkg. Jello
- 1 container frosting
- 1 can sweet potatoes
- 1 can corn
- 1 can cranberry sauce
- 1 large jar of applesauce
- 1 cake or brownie mix
If you prefer, a check or cash in an amount of your choice may be donated by putting it in the offering plate or leaving it at the church office. Please make checks payable to the Deacons Brown Bags.
