Sunday, August 20, 2017, 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
We had a fantastic turnout for our annual church picnic on Sunday the 20th. About 160 of us worshipped God together at 10am and then enjoyed a delicious potluck lunch afterwards. Most of the dishes on the serving table were empty afterwards, which shows that we have delicious cooks in our congregation. Our dessert contest was fierce! Russell Lawrence won in the pie division and Kaylene Lang won in the cookie/bar division. Also, thank you for bringing some much needed school supplies. Our local teachers will appreciate these extra supplies as they begin our school year. Thank you to Brian Pederson for smoking the meat and for the Congregational Life Ministry Team for hosting such a great event. See you next year for another great picnic!
Come enjoy a fun day with your family and friends at our Church picnic this year!
Our Church picnic will be held at 11:00 a.m. in the CLC on August 20th following a 10:00 a.m. worship service in the CLC. It will be a potluck with the church providing pork loin, buns, and drinks. Please bring your favorite picnic food to share with everyone and your own place settings!
Feel free to participate in a dessert competition in one or all of the following categories: pies/cakes, cookies/bars, or ice cream - with a prize awarded to the winners. If you are providing ice cream for the dessert contest, please bring it on Friday and store it in the Deacons' freezer.
There will also be a "Back to School Drive". The items needed for donation are Kleenex, Clorox wipes, Expo markers, and hand sanitizer, but any school items would be appreciated!
