We have exciting news coming up! I can’t tell you just yet, though. We will unveil the news on Easter Sunday in both worship services. Our staff has been making plans for this announcement for the last few months and we can’t wait to let you know. So mark your calendars for Easter Sunday, April 1.
You’ll likely receive this newsletter toward the beginning of Holy Week, after Palm Sunday on March 25th. Throughout the season of Lent, we’ve followed Jesus on his journey to the cross, on the road to Jerusalem. This series will continue throughout all of Holy Week. Thus our Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Sunday services will continue with this theme, using pictures of Holy Land and discussing the geography of each of these events.
On Palm Sunday we’ll look at the places of Jesus’ triumphal entry. On Maundy Thursday we’ll see what the upper room could have looked like. On Good Friday we’ll walk with Jesus from his condemnation to his death. Then on Easter Sunday we’ll see the empty tomb.
I’ll give you one hint about this big announcement. It has to do with our sermon series…
