My family had a great time at the Home Fest at First this weekend. In particular, the kids loved the Donut Man, the bouncy house, the face-painting, and the outdoor worship service both Saturday night and Sunday morning. As we were driving home on Saturday night Lylah said, “mom, guess what? I only had chips for dinner!” Nothing says church potluck quite like your child getting to choose what she wants to eat, even if she only chooses chips!

But, that wasn’t my favorite Lylah quote from the weekend. As I was eating breakfast with the kids on Tuesday, Lylah said “mom, guess what I was made to do?” “I don’t know. What, Lylah?” “I was made to worship. We were made to worship Jesus.” Wow. I remember Rob Evans saying that at the concert on Saturday, but I had no idea she would remember that. She must have been mulling over that truth in her head since Saturday. Think about the great impact that Rob had on our children this weekend. I hope and pray that God can water the seeds of faith that were planted and that we as adults can help them to grow in their love and knowledge of Jesus as their Savior.

Thank you to each of you for your help in making this event happen. A great time was had by all of the 375+ people who came through our doors that weekend.  Let each of us remember that we are made to worship Jesus- every day, in every way.

See you in worship,

Sara
