A letter to the congregation…

It is with a saddened but grateful heart that I write this letter to you all. I have recently resigned from my position as Youth and Young Adult Coordinator. As of Friday, December 15, 2017 I will no longer be a staff member at First Presbyterian Church. This was not an easy decision, but it is time for me to move on to the next step in God’s plan for my life.

The past five years in which I have served the high school and college students of this church have been an experience filled with growth and love, one which I will always cherish. However, after much prayer, I have decided to accept a position within the Fort Dodge Community School District.

The wonderful people of First Presbyterian Church have become my family and the church is home to me; therefore, I want to assure you that I am still very much a member of FPCFD and will still see you on Sunday mornings!

I am so thankful to have had the opportunity and privilege to serve the students at FPCFD for the last 5 years. The fact that the parents of our youth have allowed me into their child(ren)’s lives is something that is humbling to me and something for which I will always be grateful.

Thinking about all of the different mission trips, fall retreats, working with different interns, helping out in the office transition, doing design and photography work, creating Crew, leading worship, and spending every Wednesday night in the Shalom Center, my heart is full.

The people of this church have become a family to me. I am continuously impressed with the level of dedication to God and to each other you all demonstrate. First Presbyterian Church will continue to be my church home and I hope to run into you and share with you my excitement for the future. Thank you for your constant support as I’ve tried to help our students fall more deeply in love with Jesus.
