Austin's Update (April 2022)

Posted by Austin Hill on

We are thrilled to announce we are doing Vacation Bible School this summer! Our theme is “Challenge Accepted,” where we will explore how we can do hard things through the help of Jesus.

VBS will take place during the week of Monday, June 6, through Friday, June 10, the first full week of summer. Each day begin at 1pm and conclude at 4pm. Children who have completed kindergarten through 5th grade are invited to join us for the week. Friends are invited and encouraged. So spread the word!

VBS is a wonderful opportunity for kids to learn about the love of God, what it means to be involved in a church, and how to grow as disciples of Jesus. Our whole staff will be involved, inviting kids learn new church music, have fun in crazy games, create crafts, eat delicious food, and learn more Bible stories that encourage us to take steps of courage as we follow Jesus. This year, we’ll also include fun challenges and memorable experiences to think about how Jesus gives us strength.

We’d love to have as many people involved as possible! If you can help for one afternoon, or the whole week, we’d love for you to let us know in the church office by way of email or phone call.

If you’re a foodie, we’d love help in the kitchen, preparing snacks. If you’re crafty, we’d love help making crafts for an afternoon. If you love music, we’d love to have you for the chapel time to help lead songs. If you love running around and being active, we’d love your help with games and recreation. If you don’t feel like you have any of those talents, we’d love for you to chaperone a group (8-10 students with another adult) for an afternoon or the week.

This is going to be an awesome week, and we can’t wait to have a blast with our elementary school students, showing them the love of God in Jesus.
